Smartest choice today... wearing my super comfortable Adidas Black ZX Flux sneakers to Fashion Weekend Sydney! Who said you can't wear sneakers fashionably? I sure think you can and in so many ways. Sneakers have a reputation of being laid-back and sometimes 'sloppy', but honestly, they're pretty stylish. They are stylish!
If you're that type of person who would rather wear sneakers instead of heels to a fashion event, go right ahead! There's nothing wrong with that. You're not being lazy, you're just thinking further ahead. You'll be comfortable all day and at the same time, be as stylish as everyone else. However, sneakers can be quite difficult to incorporate into a fashionable outfit, without looking as if you've just hit the gym... So hopefully today's outfit will give you sneaker lovers some ideas on how to incorporate your favourite pair into a fashion event worthy outfit.
Heading to Fashion Weekend, I wanted to be comfortable but at the same time be fashionable, and so I put together this outfit, which I think falls perfectly into both of the two categories. Since Fashion Weekend is all about shopping, I didn't want to wear anything that would take be a bazillion years to take off and put back on. So I decided to wear my black pencil skirt from Forecast, which only has a small zip at the back. Lately, the weather in Sydney has also been quite chilly, so to keep the top half of my body warm, I wore a camel long sleeve sweater from Forecast and to match, my Tokito camel coat which was a recent purchase from Myer.
Now onto jewellery! I'm wearing one of the bangles I received as a gift from The Peach Box. Their jewellery line is honestly to die for, so definitely go and check them out if you haven't already! If you like the bangle I wore today to Fashion Weekend, here's a link which will take you straight there!

I don't know if you have realised, but I never ever wear jeans! Well I hardly do... They're just so uncomfortable and you're so restricted in them. But really, who needs jeans when you can have leather pants! I've recently gotten into wearing more faux leather items and I absolutely love the look and feel. They're less restrictive than real leather, super light and way more comfortable than jeans. So a little tip, skip the jeans this season and get a pair of leather pants or faux leather pants. There are so many different types and styles out there!
Today I attended MBFW Weekend Edition at Carriageworks and went for an all black edgy look! These cropped leather pants I wore today was a recent purchase from Sportsgirl. When I saw them in store, I was definitely having second thoughts on whether I should buy them or not. I just wasn't too sure if the whole 3/4 cropped style would suit me, but it all changed when I tried it on. I fell in love! I paired these very comfortable pants with my Black Leather Look Bralet from French Connection, which definitely gave it a more edgy look. To finish off my outfit, I took out my Black Urge Amy Ankle Boots, which I have to admit are not that comfortable. BUT BEAUTY IS PAIN EVERYONE! Now onto accessories and jewellery. My gold bracelets that I am absolutely in love with are from ThePeachBox. They have the most stunning jewellery pieces from arm ware, rings, necklaces to earrings! Be sure to check them out, because I am confident there will be more than a few pieces that will catch your eye! The rings I wore today are from H&M and cream clutch with gold details was a purchase I made from Colette by Colette Hayman! Love T. Trends For those who don't know, I am officially a fashion student at Whitehouse Institute of Design! I am currently studying Creative Direction & Styling and had my first block this week. Jewellery: Pandora For the past few weeks, I've been wearing a whole heap of black and white clothing! Not only this, but even buying a heap of black and white clothing pieces. I always tell myself that I should really try to incorporate more colours into my outfits to make them appear more interesting, but nothing can go wrong when wearing such simple colours. Don't you agree? |
