For the past few weeks, I've been wearing a whole heap of black and white clothing! Not only this, but even buying a heap of black and white clothing pieces. I always tell myself that I should really try to incorporate more colours into my outfits to make them appear more interesting, but nothing can go wrong when wearing such simple colours. Don't you agree?
Colour trends will always be changing, but black and white will be forever in! You can arrange black and white pieces in so many different ways to dress for the right occasion. I guess you can call them, all rounder colours! Shades of black and white can be easily dressed up or down, which can give off a variety of looks, from looking hella chic, simple or sleek. They are easy to work with and don't come with much stress when matching colours.
Being on school holidays for two weeks, it honestly feels so good to go out, without having to stress about school work! Only 2 more terms of year 11 and then I start my HSC... School has just gone by way way way too quickly. I still remember my first day walking into high school. I was one of the shortest kids! I still am though...
Anyways, no more school talk!
Heading out into the city with the family for some shopping and eating, I wore this monochrome outfit of course! One of my recent purchases was this Pare Basic Stevie White Skirt which I got from the Universal Store. You could call it love at first sight! When I was trying it on, so many outfit ideas were coming to mind. Just think about it. How many different tops could you wear with this skirt!!! Crop tops, t-shirts, loose tank tops, knits, button up tops and the list goes on! It's one of them clothing pieces which can be quickly styled, just like wearing jeans. The colour of this skirt also makes it much easier to style! To keep it a monochrome outfit, I paired this white skirt with my Tokito Black Sleeveless Top from Myer. Like i said, shades of black and white clothing pieces are easy to work with.
The black & cream hand bag and the silver chic looking sandals were both purchased from Sportsgirl. I felt as if I could wear any coloured shoes because of this monochrome outfit. Since the sandals I decided to wear were silver, I of course wore my Pandora bracelets and silver rings from Colette.
There's nothing wrong with too much monochrome!
